Hi, my name is David Pillkington and I live in Maryland, in the United States. I did Sam Oven's Consulting Accelerator course, signed up for that last summer, in 2016. Before signing up for it, I had actually just gone off on my own consulting on my own. I'd always consulted with a big company, so I always had an existing framework of clients and methods to get those clients and provide them the services that I provide. Sam's program really taught me how to set up my own funnel to make that happen and to get clients and reoccurring clients, and to just get myself out there in the market in new ways, so that was really great. After having gone through Sam's course, it just helped me streamline things and the way I look at my own business and what I'm able to provide, and expand what I can provide, but do it in a really clean way that's easily understood for my clients and it's easy for them to understand when they read the website, and when they call me and we talk. It's easier to close deals in that way too, less of an open ended conversation in terms of consulting and things like that, which you know, consulting is such a generic term, that it can often spiral out and people are confused. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to go from the big company to doing something on their own, starting their own business. It definitely helped me understand things in a lot better way with the new technologies that come out, that I wasn't familiar with as well. So yep, that's my story.
