Hey guys, it's Tyson Burrell here, from Brisbane in Australia and I'm very very excited to share with you my experience of Sam Oven's consulting accelerator. Before I would join the program, I was a little bit lost, for lack of a better word. See, I knew ultimately I wanted to become my own boss, but I think I had too many ideas to really be confident in pulling the trigger on one; which is really where the program helped me out straight from the start.
See, one of the first things you're required to do in the program, is select a niche. And what this allowed me to do was really narrow it down on a specific skill set that I had to be able to share and promote to other businesses. See, the program's about supporting you and promoting you as an expert and a specialist within your respected field. So once I had my niche, it really set the pace for the rest of the program.
Now during the program, a lot of questions do come up. It's a lot of information to take in. But that's where another fantastic part of Sam's program comes into play. See, there's the consulting community and what that is, it's a private Facebook group that I use all the time. I'm forever on there flicking through other people's questions. And it's just such a supportive community. Every time you're having trouble or every time that there's any kind of confusion comes up, there's Sam or Jessie or one of the other staff will come on and help out.
Also, anytime there's a sale that someone posts, the whole group just lights up and it really just gives you affirmation and it really just gives you confidence that you can achieve the same. So, now that I'm in the process of completing the program, not only does it give me a sense of idea of where I want my business to be, it allowed me to shape the strategic direction of my company, not only just to have a business, but to have a really sustainable business that can achieve attainable and measurable results.
