Hi my name is Megan, and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I started this course with about seven years of professional experience in digital marketing and writing, so I thought that starting a consulting business could be a smart move for me. Unfortunately, I didn't like the course that much, I thought the lessons were very long with a lot of talking and often very little information I could walk away with and immediately apply. It felt like I was being sold to the whole time, which I think reflects in the way Sam Ovens teaches you to approach other businesses.
In fact, the first business I actually got a response from was the very first business I contacted using my own script as opposed to the one shared in the course. I think it's made to seem a little bit more simple than it really is, it teaches you how to grow a consulting business, not really how to be a consultant and it sort of fails to mention that if you're not very good at something, you will never have a successful business, which is obviously crucial.
After watching the lessons, I haven't really moved forward with it, instead I took the Social Media Marketing Agency course from Tai Lopez, which resonated with me a lot more and I've gotten much further with it. So I can't say I would recommend this course at this point, I do think Sam Ovens knows how to build a successful business, obviously he's very well known in his industry, so I am curious to see what the new version of the course looks like and I hope it makes me feel a little better about all the money we spent buying the original one.
