Travis joined Consulting Accelerator looking to learn from somebody who has charted the waters of entrepreneurship.
Who wants to partner with a game changer and a thought leader in the industry? I do, and you do, too, if you're pursuing an extraordinary trajectory. Hi, I'm Travis Aaron Fisher from Denver. I have not yet gone through the consulting accelerator program. I purchased it just before 2.0 was released. The reason I decided to jump into the program is to strategically partner up with someone that can assist in equipping me to provide more value to the marketplace. Someone that has gone before me to chart a course through the turbulent waters of entrepreneurialism. Someone like Columbus, sailing the ocean blue to discover new land. Sam Ovens has navigated the landmines of the consulting world. My preferred lifestyle is to be compensated quite well for the value I deliver. From there, I want to do what I want, when I want, with whom I want, and be able to enjoy other amazing places like this, St. Thomas, with my family and friends. I recommend Sam's program if you want to develop your skills, and set yourself apart from the herd. I have consulting experience in engineering, residential construction management, in financial services, and also in the spiritual journey of life. To provide targeted consulting services, it's super important to focus on a specialty. A niche. A coach like Sam can help us get focused. One of my mentors told me, "Practice with practitioners." A practitioner is someone who focuses on and practices something specified. That made me think of the many people that reference Malcolm Gladwell, in his book Outliers, and the 10,000 hour rule. The principle holds that 10,000 hours of deliberate practice are needed to become world class in any field. A new Princeton study tears that theory down. The researchers found that in professions and entrepreneurship, practice makes just a 1% difference. I don't want to go through the grind for 10,000, when on the entrepreneurial rollercoaster. The best way to navigate a rollercoaster is to follow the track, the system laid down by one that successfully completed the ride. That's why I decided to leverage Sam Ovens' Consulting Accelerator course.
