Generalist consulting is hard. Watch how Eric realized he was 'generalizing' and is unique twist on 'specializing' as a consultant.

Hi, this is Eric Herman. I live outside of West Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to getting into the Accelerator program, I'd been looking for a way to build upon my expertise. I've been in a lot of different businesses, and that's kind of the problem. I've been basically falling into the generalist end, rather than niche specified consultant problem. As I've gone through the first couple modules of the program, it's really helped me figure out what I want to do, and how I can be beneficial to a business owner. Basically, I've been kind of struggling in the past with how to identify my skill set. What this program has helped me do is focus in on the fact that I have a network of people who have specialized skills, and by bringing those skill sets together, and presenting them to a business owner, that I can become a valuable resource to them, really become an integral part of their business. I'm speaking with several people now who have products that they want to launch, and I have a network of people that can help bring those products to life, and not have to rely upon me to do it, in terms of driving the actual ads, and putting the products together, but leverage what I've come to know and the relationships with people that really have those skill sets. It's helped me define what I've been lost in defining in the past, and I'm excited about continuing my journey and not wasting as much time as I have in the past. Thanks, Sam.
